The theme of the overall project , old kolkata was mirrored in the design of the Experience Centre. Historically the courtyard formed the heart of any colonial building. Beside the use of period elements like cast iron grillwork and louvered fenestration, the design attempts to create the old charm in the modern context through the use of contemporary colors and visual elements . The remarkable challenge however was to effectively solve the spatial & functional conflicts of converting the experience centre into the club of the housing .
